Well, I started the band in late 2000. I had been listening to Orgy for a while and decided that I wanted to start a band too.I told former drummer Psyco about the idea and she asked if she coudl be in on it so I agreed and she became the drummer.
We needed a name so I came up with a list including Dreams In Digital, Guilty By Design, and Dizzy Opticon. We finally decided on Guilty By Design but we wanted to do something to it to make it unique. That's when I thought up putting the ~'s at the beginning and end. It was perfect. ~Guilty By Design~ became our name.
I told guitarist Dark Star about the band and asked her if she wanted to be in on it. So she became the guitarist.
After a while, me and Dark Star started developing problems with Psycho. She was coming up with some great ideas for the band but at this time we were an Orgy cover band and her ideas were more Marilyn Mansonish. We also had problems with her sexuality. Now I'm not against gay's or bi's as long as they don't hit on me. I don't know if Dark Star has problems with gay's and bi's in general. Psycho started hitting on us and we both decided that she had to go. We didn't have the heart to tell her because she doesn't have many friends around here so we just avoided her and I put ads looking for a drummer on various music websites.
I told my friend Dizzy about my problem and she told me that she plays drums and asked if she could take Psycho's place. I agreed and told Dark. I was telling one of my friend's (Genesis) about the band one day in skool and I mentioned that we were still looking for a g-synth player. She said she'd love to learn to play it if she could be in the band. I asked Dark Star and Dizzy and they agreed and I told Genesis that she could join. She went to a music store and asked about g-synth's and she's saving her money to buy one. Our lineup was set.
We still haven't told Psycho and we probably never will. We just don't talk about the band around her anymore and whenever she brings it up we change the subject. I know what we're doing sounds mean but if you knew her you'd do it too. Besides, she probably wont find out until she see's us on tv and by that time we'll be halfway across the country from her.

Butterfly - bassist and lead singer
Dark Star - guitarist and backup vocals
Violent Dizzy - v drums and backup vocals
Genesis - g-synth and backup vocals
